I have a 2020 Prius XLE AWD and recently my AC started making a high pitched whine coming from behind my glove box. I removed the glove box and checked my air filter only to disdover it had been partially chewed and there were pieces of acorns in the thing below it that spins (I'm not sure if it's a fan or a motor.) Anyway,im trying to figure out how to get access so I can try to clean it out but between the screws and latches I'm not sure where to start and I can't seem to find any kind of video tutorial online anywhere. If I could get some helpful instruction I would be most appreciative.

    Thank you.

To prevent a repeat, you'll need to remove the wipers and cowl, put some rodent mesh securely over the cabin air intake. Consider also meshing the engine air intake. To be really thorough, also mesh the two air exits, at the back corners, below the hatch floor.

Info on removing the wipers and cowl:

It's principally about spark plug change, but getting there is half the fun.
