I have a 2008 Prius with about 140k miles. When I have the car parked or stopped and I press on the brakes hard I hear a squawking / seal (the animal) noise coming from near the from wheels

I attempted to capture the sounds on this audio
    .
If I press lightly on the brakes, when driving for example, there's no sound. It's only when I press the pedal further down that the squawking happens.

Anybody have any idea what this is? Thanks!

sometimes changing the brake fluid helps. it's fairly common in older pri. eventually, you'll have to replace the booster, but there's no guessing when.

Starting with the right rear tire The car off the remote away from the car 15 ft or better on the right rear crack the bleed fitting for the brakes and count 100 drops onto the back tire onto the floor into a glass I don't care where you put it close the fitting go to the left rear wheel hundred drops If there is any pause between the drops that's air then you'll see a bubble on the fitting and it'll start dripping again and then if it doesn't slow down again there's no more air close her up go to the front right hundred drops same thing on the left You will have not lost any fluid worth discussing doing this but make sure it's full. Go for a drive If you still have the barking you're probably getting close to actuator time The lights will come on when it's time breaking mayor may not become lesser but it will shortly thereafter usually it'll be like the brakes of an old Dodge truck with four-wheel drum brakes and no brake booster got to be pretty old to remember that.
