    Hi there,

I have a 2007 toyota prius, and recently I replaced the rear right-side passenger door with a new one, since the old had a ton of scratches on it. However, I noticed the new door I put on it did not have the small circular speaker above the door handle on the inside, which my old door had. I was thinking of taking the shell with the speaker from my old door and putting it on the new one, but since the new one doesn't already have the speaker, will it have the proper plug/connector inside the door to allow me to connect the speaker? Trying to gauge whether this is worth my time or not.

(attached is a photo of the speaker on the old door, and the second photo is the new door I put on. The new door looks exactly the same, except it doesn't have a speaker on it)

That's the high frequency driver for the JBL system so you have a six disc changer or a JBL marked stereo The tweeters in the front door say JBL on the grills where the holes are?. If so you should be able to change the rear door panel that's the plastic part with the armrest and the speaker and I'm thinking the plug should be there I actually have a car I can go check in about an hour and see about that but I can't swear to you that that's the case right now you can find out faster than I can soon as you pull your door panel off on the car with the speaker that you've changed the door on so if you now take that door and put it in your carport or whatever and take the door panel off unplug the speaker notice the plug color and the speaker wire color now pull the panel off the door you just installed Do you see the plug and the wire colors taped to the wiring harness You really can't miss it If not then it gets a little more difficult you'll have to change the door wiring harness You see where it plugs in and all and make all that happen or you won't whichever your choice will be. I own both a JBL six disc change your car with the same speakers in the place where you just removed your door and I own three other cars that do not have the speakers at the tops of the doors I have to physically go and look at the plugs and see if they're there but I'm thinking so up until 09.
