Hello guys i have 2009/06 gen3 prius prius plugs had to be exchanged and in my country dealership is telling me to pay 20$ for 1 denso sparkplug and they cant even give me warranty so i am going to buy Ngk ruthenium hx can you give me reviews about it how is it working and can you fit it inside vehicle because at rockauto it is telling me that may require minor adjustments with a spark plug gap tool to match your engine's specifications is this big deal or not ? is this neccesary ?

I looked it up and looks like NGK IX Iridium Spark Plug 5464 will fit and I don't see any notes on the gap so it should be good to just install. (It's not as expensive as the NGK Ruthenium HX)
That's strange how you were quoted $20 for the Denso...I'm seeing it for the same price as the NGK on my website (Auto Zone)

They don't have an Auto Zone in the Republic of Georgia / Eastern Black Sea region. In a quick check on ebay it doesn't seem as though NGK Ruthenium HX are compatible with a 2010 Prius.

$18~20 CDN per plug is what I’d expect the stock Denso plug to cost (in Canada). Through trusted automotive store, dealerships more of course.

you shouldn’t be needing to adjust gap; gap is by design and some manufacturers caution against this.

How in the world is this helpful to someone who lives in the Caucasus mountains east of the Black sea?

    Some perspective on costs?

When you do these every 120k miles, it is a drop in the bucket, whatever the price.

My local go-to place is saying the Denso SC16HR11 plug (current plug specd by Toyota) is difficult to get, and that the NGK 4912 is the closest alternate.

Currency conversion. A dollar in the USA is not equivalent to the dollar in other countries. You convert it to see if your amount is close to Mendels

FWIW the NGK equiv's were $18.90 CDN through my go-to place, B&J Parts, for anyone local. I'd expect the Denso's to be sim price.
