I am a new owner of a 2015 Prius Two, and I live on a steep and curvy hill in NY.

Do you have a snow tire you like?

    Thank you,

    Mary

Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80 (on a separate set of steel rims). Having a spare set of rims makes the seasonal swap much easier, and makes less wear and tear on the sealing beads of the tyres. There are many other candidates (look at the reviews on TireRack.com) and you'll get lots of very useful information hereabouts! (search is your friend!) Good luck, and Welcome to PriusChat! …but be warned, it can be addictive! ;)

it pretty much funnels down to the Blizzaks or the Michelin X-Ice Xi3/
those two are top of the line/
there might be cheaper ones, but they're for sure not as good as those two/

Another recommendation for Blizzaks. Havent tried the Michelin but I was very impressed with the snow performance of the Blizzaks.

I got X-Ice2, about a week after car purchase, find them very quiet, you hardly know there's a snow tire on there. Around here we very occasionally get a big dump of snow, and they've performed well. You can still get into trouble, in particular if the snow gets so deep the underbelly's riding up on it. But they're decent.

Every winter they spend at least 80 percent of their time on bare pavement, and there they feel just like any competent all-season, and the mpg with them seems about the same as our OEM (17") Michelin Pilot HXM4.

Where in NY are you located? I'm right outside of Middletown, NY
