My 09 has been running like junk for a couple months now. Thought it was just the car. Smart start key has had a week battery sometimes wouldnt even unlock the doors. Broke down and went got a new battery for it, now car is running better than ever. Is this coincidental? Would love feed back on this.

idk about coincidental, but definitely odd. the key allows the 12v to boot the car, after that, you can throw it out the window and keep driving no problem.

What battery did you get? 12v or key fob battery?

When I let my key fob battery gradually weaken and die, and left if that way for a couple months (the car was going to be parked for six weeks anyway, deal with it after), I had no car performance issues at all.

Ok. Just checking. Maybe just coincidence.
