Sky Blue Metallic

Well, I really like it. I went down to the Toyota dealer the other day trying to decide on what color to get for my PRIUS Plug-in. I saw a Prius v in Clear Sky Metallic and thought it was the same blue on the Plug-in until I saw a Camry in the Clearwater Blue. I definitely preferred the Clear Sky blue. So, I ended up ordering my Plug-in in Sea Glass Pearl......

 

It's one of those colors that looks very different indoors vs outdoors. Indoor, it kind of looked "sickly", you could see the blue but at the same time it was a bit grey... like it couldn't make up its mind. Outside though, it definitely looks blue and that's when I think it looks best, more like it does in pictures. At first my wife really liked it, but when she saw it indoors in the showroom, when there wasn't as much light, she changed her mind.. we got a Blizzard Pearl one instead.

I have it in clear sky blue and it is almost magical the way it looks blue outside and then almost pearl, and then a pale silver depending on the light. When I picked ours up for delivery it was inside the dealers windowed garage and I thought, "Oh no, it's not blue- it's white, I hate it." Then drove it outside and there it is, a pale blue. But depending on the sunshine each day the color changes.
I love it. Get so many compliments. I can't get a photo up either, but when I sent to my kids, they agreed- soft pale blue. Three year old grandson will only tolerate blue cars and when he saw it he said, "Granny my favorite- it's blue!"

 

I also wanna get a sky clear, but check 3 Toyota dealers, have just only black, blue and white.

 

Figer...really hope you wait for what you want. Or order what you want. You'll already know that you'll regret it in the long run if you don't. I drove 100 miles to get mine and would have driven 300 to get it if need be. It's too much of an investment. Do an internet search with dealers in your region and see what you can find. you have been on this forum since 3/2007 and they won't let you post pictures from your hard drive? I got frustrated trying to post some pictures of our v from our hard drive and quit.
I think I'll look around for another Prius forum if that's how this operates. Lol

 

Thanks Nantz. I ask the dealer here and they said I just need to wait 2 weeks if I really need that clear sky color.

You're too new to understand why the photo posting rule is in place. Trolls are fairly abundant at times. It helps to track them down before they go about posting gay porn and such.

F8L is correct, I can totally understand why they wouldn't allow me to post a link from Carson's web site, it could have been any sort of spam.

Actually I joined way back then, thinking I was going to trade my Rav4 in on one. Good thing I didn't, the Rav4 has been paid off since then and I'm getting trade in offers for @55% of the purchased price after 5.5 years and 90K miles. Today is the test drive, if we like...Black Friday we head to Phoenix for the deal.
