My Car multimedia touchscreen on 2013 two did not work suddenly since Friday night. does working randomly today and suddenly quit. the weather is like roller coaster...... recently almost 2 weeks. finally after thinking that the touchscreen is resistive Not capacitive,I can figure out. The bezel plastic on Car multimedia is pressing against touchscreen display on right top corner side. I use my finger nail to insert/pull out all around plastic bezel edge, and suddenly works when pulling out on right top corner side. my conclusion: this seem hot and cold/freezing weather make the plastic bezel expands and shrinks, and stuck/presses against touchscreen screen edge.
Take the screen apart of the bezel and install a few wedges at the fastening points; better yet, make the Toyota Svc Center do that under a warranty issue.
No... Actually, my wife was " banging" on the dash on that time (monday) to fix . Touchscreen worked suddenly for 3 minutes and stopped. No one drive the car, only me.
Still under warranty. from that point, I knew roughly the issue still remember from Armagedon Movie (1998) quote: Lev Andropov: It's stuck, yes? Watts: Back off! You don't know the components!
