It was a beautiful day in Vancouver today, and I was all prepped to take a great beauty-pic of the Prius to make everyone else envy the west coast...

Got to the proper location (found it last year), had the digicam, the proper lenses, tripod, etc. Except...

I forgot to bring the memory card - it was still at home in the PC. Argh!

Had to settle for a extremely low-res photo from my phone to tide me over... Will try again tommorow if there's good weather. I shall not be denied :)

(behind the car is downtown Vancouver, with the Lions Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, and a bit of North Van.)

that looks like the old Panorama Studio parking lot up by the Salmon House on the Hill? correct or maybe the first pullout on the road to Cypress Ski Hill. Sorry to hear the "film" was at home.

It's a nice place I found right before Cypress.

Take #1 west on the upper levels highway, then take exit #10. Drive past the 21st street underpass and take the next right - Folkstone Way. Then just follow the curve up to the very top of the hill.

Possibly the best view in Vancouver! I don't even want to know how much property up there costs...

Tried cypress, but didn't get as nice an angle because of the concrete retaining wall and the tourists.

    Dave.

well you picked probably the best day of the three to do it. We did the valley today and really nice. Tried the Albion but the wait was 45 min and "abandoned" ship in the parking lot. Home via the PM and it was fine. Had a whole screen of 2.5 -3.5's for about an hour and a half. Guess that's what it's all about.

I finally got my GPS downloaded to the computer. The location for the photo is at:

    N49 20.955 W123 10.618

Great spot for a quick rest to enjoy the view on a nice day!
