I am attempting to replace my antenna base and while removing the headliner I noticed the airbag curtain on the side posts. They are taped up and folded up like an accordion, but I was concerned that they might deployed if disturbed. Anyone know whether or not they will release.

    Thanks
    Dave

When working near or around airbags, the safest thing you do is to disconnect the battery. (auxiliary 12volt battery)

In the service manual, there are instructions to disconnect the 12V battery and wait a minimum of 90 seconds before working anywhere near one of the airbags.
