I'm in the flooring business and had this on my 300C SRT8... think I should transfer it over to the Prius or start fresh?

I like it. The new Priori are anything but slow. They're not SRT8 fast (nor Phaeton fast, coming from experience), but they're not slow.

Quick anecdote about vanity plates... I got rear-ended by a person whose foot had slipped off their brake at an intersection. There was no visible damage at the time so I told them "no worries" and to have a nice day. Later on when the sun was at a different angle I could clearly see the cracks that had formed (the bumper had previously been repaired from a different collision). Since it was so minor I foolishly neglected to exchange any information. Had they not had a vanity plate on their car, I would have never been able to give my insurance company identifying information.

The whole incident drove home how easy it is to remember those plates. In a small town, it does not matter, people just know who you are and a vanity plate is not going to make a bit of difference. In larger towns and cities, maybe it is nice to not have to explain yourself when a co-worker notices you and your vanity plate on the highway on a day you called in sick.

Calling in sick doesn't necessarily mean you have to be stuck at home. I guess it all depends if you went into detail what you called in sick for and said co-worker knows it.

    /off-topic.

I, too, have vanity plates from my previous car (Audi A4 2.0TQ). I'll be transferring it over to my Prius. I say keep it.

When that happens to me I use the Line Danny DeVito gave the cop, the movie TWINS, who was ticketing him for parking in the handicapped Space, " Do I Look Normal To You ?" . . . there's differnet kinds of 'sick'.
