Shocks Replacement

    I'm going to replace my struts and springs on my 2005 Gen II. I'm looking to buy the parts online and do the work myself. Can anyone recommend good reliable sites to look at?

    How does one tell that springs have worn out? I hesitate to ask any of the friendly neighborhood rapacious dealer service advisers...

    Find a specific reference point at each corner of the body, and measure the height of the body at those points, above the ground. If you see a big difference from left to right or if you see that the rear is sagging compared to the front (or vice versa) then you have a clue that the springs are worn. Usually this is not an issue until the odometer is well into six-digits unless the car has been abused carrying heavy loads in the hatch.

    Oh and you don't need to take off the wipers, wiper motors, cowl, relay box, etc. to change the fronts. All you need is:
