    Hello all,

In Washington DC where I live, we are allowed to self-test emissions at certain kiosks. I'd like to do this and avoid a trip to the DMV.

In the past, when I have taken my Gen 2 Prius to the station, they hook up the meter somewhere under the steering wheel. Anyone know where exactly that is, and / or have instructions?

    Thank you!

Although I've never seen such a kiosk, my guess would be that it probably has the OBD-II connector on the end of a long cable, and a video screen that probably even shows you where to plug it in after you tell it your model of car.

The connector on your Gen 2 is on the underside of the dash above your knee when you're in the driver's seat. If you look at the end of the cable from the kiosk, there'll only be one thing under the dash there that looks like it.

Sounds like self serve beer on tap... There's no way anything could go wrong with that...
