I saw a Prius c 2013 four for 11k for 39k miles. The price is good. No accident report.

The thing is, the car was bought at Aug 2013. The next oil change was Feb 2016 at 15k miles. The next oil change was Aug 2017 at 30k miles. Is it a problem? Thanks.

Hard to tell. For starters: maybe it had undocumented oil changes? Look it over good; try to gauge the owner’s “attitude”. Maybe ask them too.

Is the data legit? Oil changes done at home never make it into the databases you are likely reading from. And carfax is full of lies and mistakes too.

Worth asking somebody who can give a clarification but the data isn't really strong enough to support much speculation.

I haven't been following the market, not sure where prices are for these. Just remember that the hybrid batteries tend to last 8-10 years and this one is going on 8 now.

Where did you get those oil change dates? You can find dealer service history at Toyota site.

If you don't see any oil change service at Toyota website, I would doubt they have done any oil change in the first two years. This is because Toyota provides a "Toyota Care" service for all new cars with free oil change every 10,000 miles or 12 months for the first two years.

Check the oil... Is it black or dark honey color... I just changed my oil, 10000 miles since last oil change...it was dark honey color (new 0w20 oil is light honey or light amber color)....test drive the car on the highway, then check the oil...black, I would pass...

A home DYI'er probably takes far better care of a vehicle than any dealer would. However, DIY oil changes and other maintenance don't show up on CarFax, etc... Kind of a bummer and I know better...but I find myself falling into the same CarFax trap as everyone else when searching for a new vehicle. (y)

    LOL.

I pity the fool that gets any used car of mine. Almost every one ... and thats a lot ... have gone to the bone-yard.

I've taken care of them maintenance-wise as well as you could ... probably moreso. The problem is that I've driven them until they've fallen apart from wear. LOL @ Me I guess.

I would be more worried about the battery than the oil change history.. 40k on a 2013 the car may have sat for a long time allowing the batteries to deteriorate.. even then batteries can be replaced easily and faily inexpensively if you don't go new.
