Seattle Area Cost Data Point 2004 MFD fix(TSB EL002-05)

    This TSB problem hit me this week - - all the usual symptoms spelled out in the TSB. I'm well beyond the 36/36 Warranty, with no extended warranty at 55,200 miles and 4 years plus. Michael's Toyota of Bellevue quoted me $550 + tax plus ~ $120 labor for an exchange DCU. I'm hoping it's the rev. "G" version with the improved circuit board fix, so well documented by Hobbit. Anyway, I thought I would throw this out to all early 2004 owners in the Seattle area as a heads-up if, or when, you get this failure. I didn't check any other Seattle area dealers for their quotes.
