Hello, My seatbelt warning light and beeping comes on even after I've buckled up. Sometimes it's works fine at first and then will randomly come on while I'm driving. Other times it just doesn't recognize that I've buckled my seatbelt at all. I tried disabling the beeping as a temporary fix, but it didn't work, I'm assuming because it didn't recognize when I performed the necessary buckling up. Even if it did the blinking light would definitely bother me. I've looked under the seat and all the wiring looks pristine. Is there anything I can do to trouble shoot this without spending too much money? I've searched around but all I can find is threads on how to disable the beeping. Which obviously is of little use to me. Thanks for any and all help, happy to be a part of the community. Chema
There should be a switch inside the stationary seat belt connector that senses the movable seat belt connector. If you can take this stationary connector apart you should be able to locate and test this switch.
Did this work? My 2008 Gen 2 does this to me frequently. The one difference being is that it always works when I click it in then randomly the light comes on. If I hit the release button and Re-click it it stops. moving the buckle and the stationary part won’t trigger it… only after driving does it happen.
