Please an someone help,we have a 2004 Prius, are they hard to use?
I brought a OBD 11 and cant work it out.
If the scan gauge is easy I will get one of those, please know I am an older Prius owner.
    Regards
    Bob:p
Ps sorry I should have said I have just had a problem getting rid of a VCS ABS promt,I had to pay the dealer $125.00 to put it on thier gauge and set it back to normal.
There was nothing wrong with it,I had done a repair job on the car, when the code came up.

If a skid control DTC was the only issue, you could have put a jumper wire between pins 4 and 13 of the OBD-II connector, then made the car READY. You would then have to depress the brake pedal at least 8x within five seconds while the jumper is in place, to clear the DTC.

I do not think that Scan Gauge will be much of an improvement over a generic OBD-II code reader, don't count on it registering DTC that are produced by ECUs besides the engine ECU.
