Has anyone seen in person how the lower body rocker moldings look with the two different finish options? One of the reviews says the satin finish matches the OEM wheels which would seem on the dull side to me.

I'm considering get Drag DR-9 or DR-34 wheels (like SoCalBPrius) and was trying to figure which one of the two finishes would be closest to the wheels. Since the wheels are silver, rather than chrome, then I figured the sating finish would be the closest match.

Thanx for putting out the thread McLintock. Even though I have 1, I'm curious as well as I thought there was only 1 finish but to my surprise, saw on Priuschat shop that they are selling 2 finishes(satin & bright chrome), the latter for $15 extra. I'm trying to figure out which one mine is(I think mine is more of the satin finish) as I bought it described as "chrome lower rocker moldings" through ebay awhile back. Anybody know when the new finish came out or was it always out there & I didn't know about it? And any pictures installed or not?

Satin looks great on my Five with the Blue Ribbon Blue, I would stay with the Satin on the darker colored Prii, and the Chrome finish on the lighter colored Prii

Mine are like a mirror from what I remember (been a while since I have seen my car :( ). I had ordered them with my car late March.

Maybe I'll order both and see which one I like and return the other.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help:confused:. IMHO, the satin finish would match better w/ silver colored rims. What color is your prius & have u decided which rims to get:)?

It is black. At first I thought I wanted chrome moldings because I think they'd pop out more on black and give a nice contrast. Since they wheels are silver rather than chrome, then satin is probably a better choice for a match. I really like both the 9 and 34. I can't make up my mind.

I'm definitely digging the chrome finish, expecting mines tomorrow! Then again, I'm going for the entire JDM Prius "Elegant Package" look :D
