    all!

The rear spoiler on my black '05 is looking all faded and orange peely. I've heard people talk about ordering a new spoiler and installing it themselves for $300 or so, but it has to be painted after you get it, right?

I've also seen people suggest removing the spoiler and asking a body shop to paint it. Has anyone done this? What did it cost?

Mine is not cracked; it just looks bad cosmetically. Is it a dumb idea to attempt to sand and paint it myself while it's attached to the car? What kind of paint would I get?

    Thanks!

How about trying Plasti dip , if you don't like it no harm done ,,,, Me.?
I would get some estimates for painting from local body shops

It would (hopefully) be cheaper to go the body shop route if you could remove it yourself, just bring in the part.
