    2011 Prius with 91K miles. Brake pads are at 6 mm.

    Is there another 30K miles before they need to be replaced?

    Thanks in advance.

    Not familiar w/ Gen3 brake pad specifications.

    Applying Gen2 (2004-2009) pad specifications, this is what you are looking at.
    NEW = 11mm
    Minimum thickness (REPLACE by) = 1mm

    91,000miles/(11mm-6mm) = 18,200miles/mm
    You currently have 5mm of pad thickness left. 18,000miles/mm x 5mm = 90,000miles APPROXIMATE left.
    It is VERY COMMON for Gen2 to get well over 100K miles on original brakes, when well maintained. Some have gotten over 200K miles!

    Keep up w/ maintanance. Be sure to check the brakes periodically, esp cleaning/relubing the caliper pins! Failure to do this may lead to sticking calipers, resulting in premature pad replacement. This is probably the number 1 cause of early pad replacement.
