Anyone have information on the XR-3? A supposed build-it-yourself 3 wheel hybrid? Looks to be a hybrid kit car. Interesting concept but I don't have any idea what it costs to build or how hard it would be and really have to wonder about his claim of 225 MPG.

They claim 125 mpg on diesel alone, or 225 mpg on diesel and electric combined. They might be pretending that electric is free energy. The vehicle weighs 1,300 lbs. That's 1,000 lbs LESS than my Xebra. I can believe that a 1,300 lb diesel car might get 125 mpg. But I don't like diesel.

Also much of the web page is in the future tense. You can buy plans to build your own from scratch, but the kits are just a promise, not something you can buy today.

Mainly the stink. Also the smoke. Biodiesel is another matter, as there are environmental benefits, but I still don't care for the smell. My Xebra has no exhaust at all. I love that about it.
