Taking it in this Friday. This is the side panel from the rear of the back wheel well to the bumper/taillight. All the seams between metal and plastic panels are really tight except this one that is showing a little smile towards the right taillight assembly. Connector? Clip/Screw? Damn thing is warping? do not know. Anyone else see this on a panel joint? I'll report back when they've "fixed" it, tell you what caused it. Bob
Bob, That is part of the bumper, must just be a loose fastner. I discovered just how massive the rear bumper is when I installed my mud flaps. I enjoyed our first Prius meeting the other night. Lets do it again soon.
Interesting... I may have something similar. Along the horizontal seam in that area, I've noticed a definite "bulge" that isn't supposed to be there. One side of the seam bulges out by approximately 2 mm relative to the other side. My car is brand-new, so I'll obviously have to have the local dealership take a look at it. I wonder if it could have been caused when they installed the rear spoilers (part of the pre-delivery prep)? I don't know if they have to do anything to the bumper assembly there.
