So I bought a supposedly Revier LED DRL Turn signal at iJDMtoy and just tried to install it today.

I looked at the lenses, and it did have Revier imprinted on it. However, looking at Revier's website, I don't see a version with 7 amber LEDs only 5 LEDs.

I hook it up and I'm pretty disappointed in the light output of the LEDs. Don't think it will be bright enough for daytime use. I haven't tried the DRL LED function yet. Not only that, but the 7440 connector that connects to the lighting plug doesn't even click is easily comes off!

Just wondering from the owners who have used or installed a genuine Revier, how bright are they? Do I have a cheap knock-off? I tried searching and found Air_Boss' thread, but the pics are dead.

I think I may have the version 1. And I just saw two reviews on Rakuten, translating it from Japanese clearly states even the v2's are not bright enough on both the turn signal and the light bar for DRL use... argh

I can see why some of you guys sold your Revier's

I purchased the original Reviers and on inspection didn't think the LED segments would be bright enough. Decided to use >13.2V inverter sense-triggered, battery-powered Morimoto LED fogs as DRLs instead.

Yeah, the pics that's advertised is so misleading. BTW, when you installed them, did you have any trouble connecting the 7440 adapter to the original socket assembly? the adapter on the LED/DRL light doesn't click and comes off way too easily.

Wasn't an issue on my set.

These Version 1 DRL's should just be called Night Running Lights lol Pretty weak during the day but does it's job at night. Bought a dimmer relay but it looks like I won't have to use the headlight dimming function.
