    maybe someone can help me.
    I've a small problem.
At a NHW20 german modell, we can't deactivate the beep of reverse gear with the manuals of this side.
    Now the questions:
Can we shut up this beep at all by a german modell?
    If yes, how.
    Thanks for helping me.

I wanted to stop mine but now I like it as it reminds me to be on the highest alert when reversing and I hardly notice the beep now.

Here's how I disabled my backup beep (I have a 2006 Prius). I found these instructions on PriusOnline.com

    1. Push the Power button to turn on the car.
    2. Press the Trip/ODO button until the Trip/ODO display reads ODO (not
    Trip A or Trip B).
    3. Push the Power button to turn off the car.
    4. Step on the Brake pedal and push the Power button.
    5. Within 6 seconds, press and hold the Trip/ODO button for at least 10 seconds.
    6. Keep pressing the Trip/OD button, step on the Brake pedal and shift
    the gear selector to R.
    7. Press the P button to shift back to Park.
    8. Release the Trip/ODO button.
    9. Under the Odometer, instead of the milage, "b on" should be displayed.
    10. Press the Trip/ODO button to change the display to "b off".
    11. Press the Power button to turn off the car.

Now turn the car back on, shift into Reverse, no annoying beeping!

i've a european modell, i tryed it a lot, but it won't stop beeping.
I think that us modell is different to german modell.
Searching in internet don't be succesfull, all manuals, i think, are for us modells.

These instructions work for the North American model, not the European one which the OP drives.

I wish people outside the car could hear the beep! The car is so quiet that people walking by don't notice that I am backing up--including my husband!!
