this is my first post in the forum.
I apologize for now for the bad English but I can guarantee that my
    Italian is worse !! ;)

I wanted to ask a question for forum users about the reusable oil patch:
    does anyone use it?
has it found advantages / disadvantages?

    I found these two producers:

    S Series Filters | K and P Engineering

always from the site report these features:

    "
The filter element is made from special stainless steel 304 fabric
used for some time in medicine (for example to filter the blood).
The filtering power of this material is extraordinary: no particle
that is larger than 35 micron passes; in normal paper filters,
depending on the quality, 60 to 300 micron particles can pass.

"Also the amount of filtered oil is remarkable: in tests carried out
at 20 ° C and 30W oil, it was calculated that the oil flow was seven
times that of a paper filter. Seven square centimeters of this
stainless steel allow the passage of about 7.2 liters of oil per
minute to only 0.06 bar of oil pump pressure (21 ° temperature). This
means very small work for the pump, high lubricant flow even under
extreme conditions and power gain for the engine.
The filter assembly is made to withstand 320 °, far beyond normal
    operating temperatures.
Given the material with which K & P filters are made are the
    temperature and condensate variations.
The possibility of washing with various solvents or even only with
soap and water ensures unlimited duration over the years; It also
greatly facilitates the inspection of washing residues in order to
prevent or limit damage to the engine."

I sent them an email and I think the most suitable filter is the 62 s model
    at a cost of $ 109

I also found this manufacturer with a similar technology

NITIFILTER - Full Filtration, No Oil Change

but unlike the first one has a second impurity collection filter

    now the question is:
is it worth trying a regenerating oil filter?
there would be a benefit on consumption as, as reported on the first
site and confirmed on the second
NITIFILTER - Full Filtration, No Oil Change
, do less pressure to pump the oil into the lubrication circuit?

thank you for now who will have time to spend to continue the discussion !!

It sounds like a noble premise, but watching the video on cleaning the filter has me concerned about the environmental impact. They use maybe 1/3 of a can of aerosol brake cleaner, then soap and water. The expense of brake cleaner, vapors vented, and water with dissolved petroleum products likely going down a regular sewer, is not really addressed in the video.

I've heard that used disposable filters can have residual oil extracted in a tightly controlled process, using centrifuges and steam. As long as the disposable filters are being brought to responsible recyclers, and ending up in such a facility, that would be preferable I think.

Having read the big oil change thread, I'd be skeptic about NITIFILTER's claim of "no oil change" as the additives in the oil break down over time.

It is clear that the lubricating liquid is not eternal and must also be changed according to the more or less intense use made of it.
They may have exaggerated in saying that you don't change oil, but I think that optimal filtering helps to prolong the life of the lubricant.
