Greetings from New Hampshire! My wife and I just came home with our new/used 2007 gen II a couple of weeks ago, and I cannot believe how much I have fallen in love with this car. And this forum is proof that I am not alone.

I am amazed how many of us there are in this part of the country. (After living in the south for the last 5 years, we couldn't take it any more.) I had a lot of exposure to them through my job as a mechanic, and I remember the first day I brought one home to let my wife drive. She fell in love with it too. And I've been a tire burner for all my life so all my friends thought I was crazy...

Has anyone in the area tried autocrossing their Prius yet? I know racing isn't exactly standard use for these cars, but... some of us will try anything:)

I'll post pics as soon as we get the vanity plates! I can't believe what we got wasn't already taken

    Congrats and welcome to PriusChat!

Yeah someone here has auto-crossed a Prius and a few have drag raced it (just for fun of course to see what times it'll get).

There's also an SCCA spec'd Prius

Welcome! You'll also discover that there are enough events for hybrid/alternative cars that if you want to keep the gearhead feel without burning all that rubber, you'll find enough to keep you busy.
