Respect for Obama.

I didn't vote for Obama, but his poker face and high risk gambler instincts have been very impressive. Only thing missing is a cigarette dangling from his mouth as he puts his chips down.

 

have to agree he is genuine in his reactions.. if he weren't he would have slipped by now.

 

What I meant is his poker face while attending other events during the day after giving the order.

 

i lost respect for the young assholes in this country that had to "party" in the streets right after the news broke of his death.

we should all just let it "drift" in the past like it was nothing.

hopefully then the loser jihadist will realize they won't be remembered and get a real job like everybody else.

 

You all can have him in a little over a year or so, he will likely need a new job.

 

only thing missing at the demonstrations were the guns. then, we would have looked just like the middle eastern whacko's.

Anyone who hasn't seen it, should look at the photo the whitehouse released during of the room during the raid. The look on Clinton's face, her big eyes, Obama's face, the general's smirk. You can only imagine what they were seeing on the live camera.

 

Sorry, being from chicago, I respect the president and respect the man. But not the decisions he has made. Word is they have been working on this for quite some time. My biggest fear is who will run against this man. And hopefully he won't run for another office in Illinois....

Respect for the way he handled the situation, yes. Obama had/has a lot to lose if this had gone wrong, (the SEALs were ambushed, Osama wasn't there, whatever).

On the flip side, Obama did NOT kill Osama. The highly trained U.S. operatives did. He simply authorized a covert military action plan put together by military experts and carried out by the highest trained soldiers in the world. His role is that of a pen stroke on a piece of paper.

Incidentally, the use of deadly force to get Osama has been authorized since 1998 by President Bill Clinton, before 9-11 even happened.

Not trying to be a jerk, the president is due some credit, but some people are giving him way more than he is due, and the T shirts that say Obama killed Osama are just plain wrong.

 

Yeah but the R's credited Bush with stuff he wasn't directly involved in.

It is wrong on both sides and has been for a while. So to keep the incorrect score, you need incorrect points.

Obviously they are not completely comparable situations, and the death toll obviously orders of magnitude higher in WWII.. but you have to understand that the college students now were kids during 9/11 and spent their adolescence in a country in multiple wars stemming from that event*. When you consider that, and the economy, it's really not surprising that they let off some steam at the news.

But feel free to tar a whole generation with your broad brush..

*(yes I understand Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 but I believe that war wouldn't have been waged if 9/11 didn't happen)

I hope when someone does an Osama Youtube rant, it will be as viral as Hitler's bunker rant now.
