I just transported a large metal object on the front/passenger floor of my Prius, and it damaged the trim on the door and dash (just to the left of the glove box). What's involved in replacing these pieces? Are the parts available to the consumer? [attachmentid=5162] [attachmentid=5163]
OUCH!!!! I assume that that is not paint scratched onto the trim, but actually scratches in the trim? I noticed on ebay a couple of people posting parts from what I assume are scrapped Priuseses (Priii ?) Maybe email one of them and see if you can get undamaged pcs.

They brought in a contractor who made repairs to both parts for about $60.00 It took a couple of hours but the repairs made the damage virtually invisible. Wellp ... if you're gonna use the thing as a work-truck, it's going to get banged up here and there. Perhaps the pride that you *can* get said large metal objects in there can offset the scratch-ups. I finally put my money [er, junk] where my mouth is and actually got a full-size dryer into mine the other week to haul it to the laundry graveyard. I had to unbolt the rear seatbacks [easy] to get rid of the little upward bump they create when they're laid down; that inch was just too high to allow the thing to slide all the way in.
