2017 Prius Prime Advanced with E7052 11.6 inch screen. This was not easy, but not impossible. The micro chip compartment is located on the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It is not obvious on how to remove the cover, but gently pressing on the edge towards the center, it will release and hang by a tab. A gentle tug will remove it out of the way. Make sure to re-insert the 1 inch tab when finished and it snaps in place. The micro chip is DEEPLY inserted into the slot fixture. By gently pushing it in, it will release. The only way I could accomplish this was to use a pair of tweezers in the closed position and pushing up on the chip. It released, but was flush with the slot fixture and was not able to remove it with my fingers. Tweezers worked fine; I was able to remove it fine. Install the replacement in the same orientation (contacts facing front of car). Again I found that I could not push the chip in place with my fingers. Using the tweezers in the closed position, the chip could be pushed in far enough to stay in place. Replace the cover by first inserting the tab into the compartment slot and gently press on the edges to seat it.

When I first turned on the car a message popped up that there was no navigation chip, but in less than 20 seconds it appeared to resolve itself.

I purchased my replacement chip at Amazon for $31.79 tax included. Toyota OEM chip was quoted at $222.60 tax included.
