Replace engine get check hybrid system

How long was the car down and sitting while everybody was getting their ducks in a row making the final decision to actually order and replace an engine? Months a year 8 weeks what that has a lot to do with it sometimes My generation 3 sat for about a year maybe a tad longer before I decided to even think about doing anything with it and when we did this exact scenario happened in the end what the end-all be all deal was was the hybrid battery in the persona was failing frosted nuts copper bus bars that were completely black all of that sort of thing I got the car to work with the old battery but it kept coding and wouldn't go real far and just wasn't a general happy camper I got the car running made sure the engine was capable and working which it was and then after that my buddy refurbed the hybrid battery for me he does it for a living and that battery has been in the car ever since it starts right up runs no codes all of that The car just isn't worth a crap mine anyway.
