You will get Multiple waning lights and the technician will be able to see multiple 'codes' when the battery is finally weak. The engine will rev up a lot and the fan that cools the battery in the right rear of the cabin will be loud. Pink just means the engine has not recharged the battery lately, not that anything is wrong. When you do get ready for a HV Battery (not soon, I expect) consider Re_Involt.

Don't worry. Pink is within the acceptable discharge range for the battery. I'd be worried only if it suddenly became a regular occurrence under normal driving conditions.

I've often seen the hybrid battery down in the pink after the car's been in the shop. The shop folks likely just let the car sit for a period of time in IG-ON.

I'm trying to figure out how many miles I might expect to get before replacing the 200V battery on my 2008 Prius...anyone got ideas on that?

Miles are a poor indicator of when a battery might fail. Because Taxis go through a great many miles per day, one hears of 200,000+ mile batteries. if you only drive 12,000 miles a year, you are unlikely to do as well, as the battery will need to live through 16 winters. Both years and charge-discharge events are better indicators. Lets say 10 years is doable for 90% of batteries Your HV battery is 100 % under warranty to 100,000 miles or 8 years, whichever comes first.
