Removing the rear side A pilars

    I'm installing a cam, and tint, so need to remove these things - anyone done this? They have curtain airbags behind (so remove neg battery).

    I'm able to tug them out at the top, and they unsnap easily - but then they are held to the lower piece of plastic, and none of that looks easy.
