Relay noise when slowing toward a stop?

I've noticed that quite often when slowing toward a stop there is a noise in the dash that sounds like a chattering relay or solenoid. It always stops before the car actually reaches a stop. It's not extremely loud, but it doesn't sound like anything that could be good either. Anybody have an idea what it might be (and whether I should be worrying about it?)

That is a normal noise associated with the braking system building pressure. Unlike a standard vehicle, which has a master cylinder powered all the time by the gas engine, our cars have to build pressure to be used when braking with the ICE off. You get used to it after a while.

Yes, this is quite a normal sound. You will soon get used to it and will then enjoy the silent operation of the car while it is standing at a stoplight.
