I left my 2003 Prius running with the AC on for several minutes while I was inside a store. Got in to drive and the red triangle warning light came on. No power. We tried to jump from the 12 v but it wouldn't start. Perhaps it needed more time? Towed to my mechanic. Toyota is 30 miles away if he can't fix it. Battery's were reconditioned 4 months ago. (90 day warranty) Is this just a longer 12 v charge? Did I fry my other batteries? Any input to relieve anxiety will be appreciated. Thanks
welcome! how old is the 12v? sometimes internal failure will preclude a jump start. if you disconnect it from the circuit and a jump won't work, you have other issues. it could well be the rebuilt battery, they are notorious for short lifespan, depending on the quality of the rebuild. in the end, you need to have the trouble codes read
