started up just fine without a problem. :)

We recently went to Hawaii (Big Island) for a nice vacation. My PiP sat for 12 days in our driveway. Before leaving on vacation, I fully charged the traction battery. Battery SOC was 84.7 when I unplugged it from the wall (some mornings it's 85.0, and some mornings it's 84.7, go figure), and when I got back in the car 12 days later, it had only dropped 0.4 percent to 84.3. That pretty much puts to rest for me any fears about leaving the car sitting for a while with a fully charged traction battery.

While we were on the Big Island, I spotted a white PiP in Kailua-Kona on Thursday night (Nov 1st).

I don't think that tells you anything. The issue with leaving a lithium ion battery with a high or low SoC for a long time is not the self-discharge of the battery, but rather its effect on battery life.

I think that's much lower self-discharge than NiMH.

it probably doesn't hurt once in a while, but the manual says not to do it, so i won't do it. it's just as easy to charge it to 1/3-1/2 full.
