Receiving a warning symbol starting this morning, which is like a POT with a exclamation sign on my dashboard? Something like this: | ! | \__/ Can someone please let me know, what is this indicating.
It's the cross section of a tire with an exclamation point in the middle. See page 190 and 656 of your owners manual, but DO check your air pressure. Every time you get a big temp drop, expect your tire pressure to be lower than normal. It may not be enough to make the light come on. Check them anyway after a big 10° - 20° or more drop.
Thank you guys. Yesterday I filled the Toyota survey and one question was 'do you see low oil' i.e., oil is burning which is a common problem in many of the new cars. The pot like symbol reminds me of that question and worried me. Yes, we had a drop in temp in the past few days. So that explains the low tire pressure.
Be sure to add air to the tires. Otherwise, you will experience lower mileage and increased tire wear.
Could the pot leaf have been a snowflake? Toyotas have such a warning light come on when the outside temps are at 37F or lower to warn you to look for ice.
Sid, I lost about 10psi Wednesday night. Inflating the tires back up to my pressure was the least of my problems.
