I purchased my 2008 Prius two months ago and love the entire driving experience. However, I was surprised when I took it to the dealership for it's 25,000 mile maintenance check and was told I had two recalls. One for the floor mats and one for the gas pedal. I knew about the floor mats but thought the 2008 was not part of the gas pedal recall. Glad I went.
If you have the correct OEM floormats and they are properly secured, there is no need to have the dealer do the gas pedal work. All they do is shave material off the pedal to make it shorter. There are photos here on PC.
