Rear brake noise after replacement

Might be worth a quick look to see if the "fitting kit" was installed correctly. That's the springy little clips that go in the caliper brackets, and the "ears" of the brake pads go in them.

The "fitting kit" comes with four of those clips, two per side of the car. They are not all identical; two of them have longer bottom "lips" than the other two. You have to look a little carefully to spot the difference.

On each side of the car, the longer-lipped ones go in the lower groove of the bracket, so as to keep the pads pushed toward the upper groove. That's the way the pads want to move when driving forward, so there should never be a click then.

There may be a bit of a click when reversing (though nothing that ever annoyed me). But I don't know if you might get a more-annoying click if, say, somebody put both long clips on one side of the car and both short ones on the other, or something like that.

 

I just replaced all my brake pads and rotors all around and zero noise.

My rear pads also did not have the triangle spring things to hold them down I guess.
