Rain water in the hatch?

you mean it drips off the hatch door as you're closing it?

 

Didn't Thatoneraccoon have that problem. Think after several trips to the dealerships he found out they had assembled something wrong with the hatch.

 

It was the small rear-window, as I recall.

 

that sounds right, good memory.

 

Take it back to the dealer and have them repair it under warranty.

From what I can tell the small lower hatch window had to be resealed. It's a long thread but you don't have to read all of it because thatoneraccoon edited his first post with updates.

 

the new carbon fiber hatch was a pain to manufacture, and took them awhile to get it right. even to the point of causing a delay in shipping. probably a few defective ones escaped the factory unnoticed.

And yeah sadly I had problems with the water getting past the glass on the rear hatch. They were able to remove the glass and re seal it and reassemble things correctly. If you check out the pictures and can see where things don't look right.

Also have a buddy drive the car through an automatic touchless car wash while your in the back and check to see where it leaks from. I was able to guess the glass seal from that test.

Good news is, since the work, it's been leak free and all good. I've been waiting and testing.

Putting the window in wrong isn't a composites manufacturing issue. My friend had a brand new (steel) car that leaked around the windshield. They removed it, scraped off the sealant/adhesive, put on new and problem solved.

 

that doesn't mean it was or wasn't. it just means your friend had a problem.
