That's great for upkeep, and i too use it, but a coat of actual rain x to start off with is better. RainX'ing each window and side mirrors is something I do to each new car I have ever owned the same day I buy them.
On the windshield applying the original rainx and then using the 2 in 1 washer fluid I honestly never need to reapply the original stuff again before I trade which is about envy 3 years. Without using the 2 in 1 product, I use to reapply about every 6 months. Now keep in mind this is for the windshield. On the other windows that do not have wiper blades moving across them, I only need to apply it once for the whole 3 years of ownership.
This has been working very well for me: South Texas Drought Page Unfortunately, it comes with many side effects; nearly all of which are very bad......
As mentioned, it works great but honestly it is more of an upkeep product IMO made to dramatically extend the life of an application of regular ol' Rain-X.
It works very well, I've been using it for a few years now. The rain water beads up nicely and blows right off the windshield.
Regular automotive wax works well for beading water. I doesn't last very long after wiper use but most folks have it all ready on their shelves. When applying, keep it away from the rubber gasket around the windshield.
