Does this happen with others radios, or did my channel select button get wired in reverse? When I press the "down" arrow, the "\/" shaped one, the radio selects the "previous" radio station. So, if I'm in any of the radio settings, in the middle, if I press the "\/" button, I will get the top station programmed. If I'm in the middle and press the "/\" button on the steering wheel, I'll get the bottom radio station. The heater controls work like expected. /\ raises the temp, \/ lowers the temp. Is mine wonky?
Jim, You're saying it works that way for your radio too? Because when I "think" of the presets, I think of them like this... 1.....4 2.....5 3.....6 If I'm on station #2, when pressing the \/ key, I would expect to get #3 (since it is below/lower/further into the screen), but I get #1 instead. It doesn't seem "intuitive" to me. But, maybe it's just me.
On the other hand, starting at 2 and pressing down, you should get a lower number, right? So it takes you to 1. But I'll definitely grant you that the visual interface is inconsistent. Luckily, I don't use the radio at all. Listening to my own music is far superior.
I guess it must be working that way (selecting the lower number position). When I envision the way the radio works, I envision moving the amber "station highlight" bar down using the \/ key, instead of selecting the previous station. It is a weird interface.
