Can't turn off the radio. I know I can just keep it low, but would appreciate if someone knows how to replace the switch.
unplug the negative on the 12v and it will turn off. then restart by putting it back on. I have 2004 prius w/ 212k miles and it sometimes does that. keep driving.Martin
I assume you tried to press the power button when attempting to power off the radio. If you have radio controls on your steering wheel, try pressing and holding the "mode" button. I think it should turn off after 5 seconds. If the above doesn't work and you don't have the money to either fix it or buy a new one, I'd pull the radio out and cut the -12V wire and put a switch in. You could also try pulling the fuse. Don't quote me on this but I think the radio is on the dome light fuse, which is a 15A fuse.
