Radio gets quiet then silent after start up

    Hello, I have a 2013 Prius with a radio problem. I am told by AutoZone it is a five but others told me it is a three. Every time I look online for the model I just get 2013 Prius.

    Every time I start up the vehicle the radio will turn on but very quickly gets quieter and quieter until it goes silent. Changing the volume doesn't help either (both on radio and Bluetooth device). I have checked all fuses and even replaced a few just to be safe and still the problem persists. I even pulled my dash apart to see if I could find a short to no avail. I am asking here in hopes of some answers or opinions before I take it in or buy a new radio.

    check in at toyota.com/owners for the correct package by vin.

    have you tried disconnecting bluetooth?

    Try resetting your radio unit by holding down the power button for 10+ secs. If that doesn't work, disconnect your 12v battery and reconnect.
