Hey I recently purchased a 2014 Toyota Prius PIP Advanced Tech, I'm already gathering my list of mods for the car. I don't want to roll or shave fenders as I plan to sell the car in 3 years. My main question is whether a 18x8.5 ET44 (no spacers) with a 225/40/18 would rub when dropped on coilovers or Plus springs. Thanks
go with 215 tires..... but ET44 is not hard to fit..... if you're not going very low(like I did).... that should work I'm running 18x8.5 ET38 with 215/40 tires.......
Question for you, what are your camber specs, and what do you think the lowest offset you could run in front and in rear with a 18x8.5 to have the rim completely flush the the fender? I like the way your car sits and I can see your wheels tuck just a little bit, but I am wanting to push the offset to the max without poke.
my front camber is -1.5.... you could either use camber bolts or you're coil overs camber plates to adjust the camber... my rears are on -1..... note: the rear have no camber adjustments.... to adjust the camber you could get the shims... or plates... regarding the lowest offset you could use...... I could not confirm that because I really haven't tried anything lower than 38 on my car.... if I remember it correctly someone here has Varrstoen(te37 rep) that are 18x9.5.... but they do poked.... (browse this tread... Gen III aftermarket wheel thread...post your pictures | PriusChat) maybe you could borrow an 18x8.5 et38 and then play around with spacers to see what offset you would like to run on your car....
could you take a picture of your wheels with like a measuring tape to show how much space is left to the fender please? that would give me an idea as to how much offset I would have to play with.
I could probably do that... but it would be next weekend.... I'm pretty busy right now till next Friday....
Hey there! I’m new to this forum and I was looking for a new wheel setup... this has definitely caught my eye and I was wondering if you or someone else could please tell me what kind of wheels these are? Thank you so much!!
