Carmine is a 2008 Prius, I bought new, made some changes from reading on here.

Passenger rear mud guard came off. One hole is broken, the other 2 are fine but the screw/ bolt is still in the car itself.

As I recall I had to purchase them through here (or a recommendation from on here) as at that time Toyota was not offering mud guards for the Prius.

Where do I purchase just the one, and will my local Toyota dealership put it on when I take the car in for an oil change?

Um, 4 days and not one reply? What happened?!

I'd appreciate some ideas how to replace the mud guard, thanks.

I don't think anyone here has ever purchased just one mudguard. It's probably not worth the trouble/time searching for one. Why not just buy a new set?

Actually you can probably get them cheaper online. I'll see if I can find an example. You have a 2008 prius hatchback 4-door with1.5Liter DOHC engine?

And I can't remember if that extra screw recommended on here was for the rear or front?

Try this: 2008 Prius mud flaps on eBay (I couldn't find flaps for a 2008 Prius on amazon).

You could search through the selection and find a set that best matches the mud flaps on your vehicle. However, after thinking about it, you might prefer just to get a whole set of four and replace the one's you have. If your old flaps came with the vehicle they're probable too old and it might not be possible to find a matching set.

OK I will look at that.

My old flaps did NOT come with the vehicle, back then Toyota did not offer mud guards. So we all had to get them elsewhere. Thank you.

You probably have the 4-door 1.5L. That's the 2008 model that most people had. I had one myself, but I never put flaps on it, so I really can't tell you how to go about installing them.

The Gen 2 mud flaps are molded on the back side to form-fit onto the body. They're held in place with three screws, and each should have a small steel speed nut/body nut (or whatever they're called) wedged in the wheel well for the screws to thread into. These were on one of my 2005s, but may not be OEM to the car, as they don't have a Toyota marking on them. The only markings I see are:
    1. 92331 molded into the top skinny area
    2. PRIUS REAR molded into it
    3. MADE IN CANADA molded into it near the bottom by the date code circles.

The photo below has them oriented as they would be installed on the rear wheels if you were looking at the car from behind.

Finally need the oil change, so called to get the appointment, and said I need the Passenger rear mudguard.

I was told that Toyota does not make mudguards for the Prius so I can not get one from them. This is crazy.

I have no idea where I ordered them from, all I remember is it was a place folks on here directed me to. Maybe I will have to go back to the 2008 posts on here and see if I can find it. Is there an easy way to that sort of a search?

Anyway, you can use the search box to put in key words like mud guard, and then a member's name and then all forums or just a specific forum.

I searched using mud guard, Freedom and all forums
