purchased new ballast for 2004, different connectors?

i have been having the HID issues with my 2004. I have replaced the bulbs multiple times on the passenger side. I have decided it had to be the ballast. I found a post about ddm tuning for bulbs and ballasts so i ordered a ballast from them.

I ignored the ballast until today when i was to install. Most of the how tos state that the one connector is wrong and you perform a work around by unplugging the old cable from the old ballast and plugging it into the new. This one has both connectors wrong.

That is what i ordered. See photo.
Can i simply splice the proper connectors on the new unit? If so i assume i need to weatherproof the connection.
Any help would be appreciated.
