At the New York International Auto Show, Toyota was handing out free demo copies of the new PS2 game Gran Turismo. There is a 2004 Prius in the game. It is sooo cute buzzing around the racecourse. It has great displays on engine use, VSC kicking in, and MPG's. If you are familiar with past Gran Turismo games you are able to modify (pimp) your ride. I can't wait for the real version of this update to come out so that I can see what my car looks like modified (different rims, paint, neon, etc).
Gran Turismo 2 (for PS1) has a first gen Prius in it. There's a race that has a HP limit that's very low (80?); I chose the Prius and beat everyone by a long shot! The machine didn't count the electric against the limit! No upgrades available for the Prius, though. Nate
there's some on Ebay- search for "gran turismo demo" Or if you can run Japanese games on your PS2 you can get GT4 Prologue which has the 2004 Prius. Looks like a long wait (November) for the final release of GT4. Past priuschat discussion and screenshots here: http://www.priuschat.com/forums/viewtopic....ght=playstation This demo also has the Toyota "Triathlon" fuel-cell concept racing car. Would be nice if all the Toyota dealers got a supply of these demo discs to hand out...
Thanks halfbreed, I'm not sure I'll go to ebay, but it's good to know that there are copies out there. I was told that GT4 is supposed to come out this Summer by my local video-game-store-owner. Has anyone else heard this? ~Andrew
