A look under the hood and inside the battery of the world's best-selling gas-electric hybrid car.

The Prius, now in its fifth year on the North American market and its third design, is the world's best-selling gas-electric hybrid car. Its success derives largely from the clever technologies described here.

That's a cool link, good for newbies to the Prius (like my colleagues, even a co-volunteer at the prairie restoration group who asked just last month if I needed to plug it in and if I could go up to 65 mph).
I knew most of that from spending a couple weeks going thru links here at PriusChat, but it wasn't presented that slickly.

The only major problem is locating Regenerative Braking at the back wheel. The back wheels, with their friction-only drum brakes, are just along for the ride. All regenerative braking is from the propulsive (and braking) front wheels.
