Thinking about buying some more hardware to lower it. It's a bit of a visual obstruction as it sits.

Now lets find a way to replace the OEM NAV with an iPad!

I'm considering an iPad mount also, for one reason: Waze (pronounced ways). That's a free navigation app. It's GPS taken to the next level in that the maps are updated constantly, and it tells you about speed traps, roadblocks and traffic jams. Also tells you the cheapest gas in the neighborhood.

Why not go with an ipad mini instead of the large? Smaller platform same function. I'm looking into making a mount that will allow me to put it right in front of the factory radio. As the ipad mini has wifi I can use my portable hotspot from work.

Since I have enough songs to last me from here to LA I don't need the CD player or the Sirius. On the package II there is no USB or Bluetooth so I will have a charging cable with an audio cable plug somewhere close to the mount so the wires can be hidden.
