Problem: Motion and Sounds while and after braking

    i recently got a new 07 prius. i'm pretty satisfied with it other than some braking problems. i know that there are suppose to be sounds when braking. however, did anybody feel minor shifts when you brake? the shifts feels like an engine turning off; it also sounds like it's turning off. i really want to know if this small motion after braking is normal. it doesn't happen everytime i break, but enough to realize the problem. can someone confirm me? thanks

    If it feels like the engine turning off it probably IS the engine turning off. The gasoline engine switches off anytime it isn't needed to conserve fuel, and you don't really need it on to brake. :)
